Making small intentional decisions

Working Road-trip with my Guy! After years of my husband traveling alone for work and me, staying home with our kids, it’s a new season for us. It’s time to dream and plan together again.

Our marriage is much stronger now than it was then. We miss each other more when we are apart. I’m so thankful that we have both grown emotionally and recognize our need to reconnect after a busy week or time away from each other. These road trips are a perfect mix of conversation and enjoying each other’s company. We listen to music, podcasts, and sometimes just sit quietly with each other. When the kids were young our reconnect times looked a lot like Starbucks dates, backyard talks, and drives around town. We learned that we had to be intentional to invest into our marriage if we wanted to enjoy each other when the kids started leaving our nest. Time has flown by.
